Introduction to SNOMED

SNOMED CT is the largest global terminology, which is increasingly being used in multiple countries to support both primary, secondary and tertiary point of care recording. In addition, SNOMED CTs ontological construction makes it ideal to support data analysis across all healthcare domains. The session will introduce the structure of SNOMED CT and will also include examples of current use cases from across the world. The aim of the session is to both inform regarding current usage globally, and to explore future opportunities for optimising SNOMED CT implementations.
