The Hellenic Society for Biomedical Technology (ELEVIT) successfully hosted a Symposium on January 30, 2025, as part of Athens Digital Health Week 2025. The event brought together experts from academia, healthcare, and industry to explore the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), medical devices, and digital health technologies.
The programme (Part I, Part II) covered a diverse range of topics, including the design, development, evaluation, and certification of innovative medical devices and AI applications in healthcare; the trustworthiness of AI in medical decision-making; advances in biomedical imaging; the potential of bio-inspired medical technologies; recent breakthroughs in brain-computer interfaces; the convergence of AI and nanomedicine; and the role of mHealth, telemedicine, and machine learning in musculoskeletal disease prevention, with a focus on the SCOLIOSIS project. Through these presentations, participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas, address key challenges, and explore future directions in the rapidly evolving field of biomedical technology.
As the Symposium organisers, we sincerely thank all speakers and attendees for contributing to the success of this event and look forward to continuing the conversation at the ELEVIT Conference on May 21-23, 2025, in Athens.
